December 8, 2011 (31 Years after John's assassination)
I was the music publisher who was charged with the mission of trying to determine why John had no longer wanted to deliver songs to ATV Music. "Imagine" was probably written during that period. As Exec VP of ATV (later sold to Michael Jackson), I spent time with John and Yoko (separately) and will never forget the impact of their lives on mine. May Pang was with John and I would fly into NYC from LA for a day to have dinner with Yoko and have breakfast with John before returning home with no songs, but an incredible experience with them both.
